What is this...?

Empathy...

Benevolence...

This warm, hopeful sensation fills me with dread. I'm reading this comic from the very start in a continuous binge today and this creature seems too good to exist in such a horrible world as the one we see.

I am rapt with fascination of the story being told here, but I confess I never really liked any of the characters. I was just watching everybody be dumb and pointlessly antagonistic to Charles, and Charles floundering haplessly and failing to form any kind of emotional bond.

But this creature for the first time creates a tinge of sweetness long missed but never sought. I am loath to see what atrocity may be wrought upon this in the pages to come.
