You most likely came here from a site called Bad webcomics,
since that's the only site that links to this VERY special page.

Bad Webcomics is a wiki that is not about honest criticism
but is rather about: trolling and writing asinine bullshit based on made-up evidence,
to stir up flame-wars.

If the amusement is gained entirely on the basis of mocking someone else
and tearing down their work, we don't think that kind of behavior merits any respect.

This entry was written by 7 creators from the RA team.
We stand together against false claims and libelous statements.

Review of Claims:

MakarovJAC (from Bad Webcomics) makes the following statements about RA (highlighted in blue.).
Lets review each one, while pointing to factual evidence.

-the art for the comic comes mostly from Google image search-

Most of the texture backgrounds for the comic are in FACT shot in abandoned places all around the world as evidenced in the "ART" section of this website.

Episodes: 0, 3b, 4b, 5d, 5f, 7b, 8b, 9b, 58, 65, 67, 69, 70, 71, 73, 75, 76, 77, 78, 82, 85, 86, 87, 89, 94, 95, 96, 99, 101, 102, 110, 111,
112, 113, 114, 116, 118, 141, 144, 145, 149, 152, 153, 154, 155, 158, 159, 160, 161, 162, 163, 164, 165, 167, 174, 176, 179, 180, 182, 181, 183, 184, 186, 187 are painted from scratch. The rest are shot in our studio and on location and then edited in Photoshop.

-Alexiuss is known for claiming that he is drawing it all from scratch. He of course either denies it or avoids giving a straight answer, but no one (including us) believes him.-

The production process describing the use of costumes, greenscreen and camera was on the INFO page of this website EVIDENCED AS FAR BACK AS 2010, and also described in THIS TUTORIAL.

denies he even lied about it and has deleted all trace of the evidence.-

Screenshot evidence from deviantart:

In early 2005 Alexiuss used a mouse (instead of a tablet) to do photoshop brushwork, his camera for the textures and his friends as models.
DA Comments were closed in 2013 against spam-bots who targeted and flooded particular old artworks, not "deleted".
BadWebcomics must think mighty high of itself to force comments to be hidden on paintings (that were also targeted by SPAM-bots in 2013).
Not only did Alexiuss explain photography in many comments and notes to people who requested such information, but also he did paint lots of works with a mouse and tablet from scratch.

Note the following:
This work is a mix of photography and brushwork aka "mixed media" which used "digital painting" technique as biggest part of the creation process.
To a question "You did this with a mouse?" the answer "yes" is the truth, since a mouse is the tool used.
Furthermore, here's an image that was painted from scratch from 2005.
and... Here's a 2nd example of a piece painted from scratch from 2005.

a sort of "visual-scammer", so to speak. You see, all this neat-looking work is not real AT ALL.

First of all, "visual-scammer" is not a real term.
Such terminology could possibly apply only to a scam on Ebay that ships buyers a photo of a Playstation instead of a real one.
Getting scammed out of money via a visual trick, etc.
Looking at artworks or reading comics for FREE on the internet is not a "scam".

Only a complete imbecile/troll would link to an artwork that's clearly "photomanipulation" / "mixed media" / "digital painting" and call it a "visual-scam" because "photshop" was used to make it.
Just like only a fool would point at a film like 300 or the Matrix and call "Matte-painting" a "scam", because he somehow got "visually-scammed" by the art director into thinking that everything was painted by hand and no other tools were used like a mouse, or 3D rendering, or photography.

-call outs by Torture Device over Alexiuss' fake art-

Torture Device is a known racist, white-supremacist troll on deviantart.
MakarovJAC FELL for using Torture Device's parody/ranting as evidence or has simply copied most of Torture Device's claims without bothering to actually do research.

-this comic is probably rip off of the Newgrounds series TankMen-

1)Fallout did a combination of a "titanic joke" and "post-apocalyptic location" 10 years before TankMen.
2)This writing in comic is actually inspired by works of Russian writers Brothers Strugatsky from 1950's to 1980's.
Their books contain apocalypse, horror and comedy themes.

-obvious rip off of the webcomic "Gone With The Blastwave"-

1)First Blastwave concept art was posted on deviantart in July 1st 2005.
First RA concept art was posted on Deviantart in January 3, 2005.
That makes RA older by 6 months.

2)RA doesn't have color-coordinated armies waging war against each other, nor nameless protagonists and antagonists.
Google the comic "Goodbye, Soldier!" by Juan Gimenez from Heavy Metal.
It is a "post-apocalyptic-comedy comic" about a brief struggle of "gas-masked nameless heroes" and it was published in 1981.
It's also a coincidence that RA and Blastwave are similar to "Goodbye, Solder".

-he (alexiuss) responded with the same statement as quoted above: that his comic is better than that one(blastwave) because his site has more visitors-

A fake quote made up to prove a false point to seed mistrust between fanbases of the two comics where there isn't any:
Alexiuss and Kimmo are actually planning to make a collaborative episode.

We'd like to issue a challenge for Bad Webcomics to provide PROOF of their so called "quotes" instead of pulling them out of their ass.

-unconfirmed rumor going around that Alexius brags about overcharging his stupid fans for merchandise-

This merchandise rumor exists ONLY on Bad Webcomics, written to stir drama.

(Alexiuss' wife)...left us this eloquent response in the form of an abuse report sent to us-
You all are a bunch of jealous fucking haters!!!!!!!!

1)If Oddguy (the admin of BadWebcomics) actually bothered to check the IP of the "eloquent response" report note (that he himself posted as evidence), he'd know that this note was sent by an angry fan from Washington (who is not related to the RA team whatsoever).
2)This page is our "official response" and it was written to show how shitty Bad Webcomics is as a critique source.

-Defining Flaw: abuse of the smudge tool-"

Hang on... Why does MakarovJAC feel the need to point this out not once but three times?
We've used google to find that MakarovJAC is an artist himself.
Looks like he even used to post his drawings on in 2012.

This is the review his artwork received there:

... and so everything suddenly makes sense. In 2012 MakarovJAC was shamed for using "smudge tool" so now he thinks that it's the perfect insult to use.

MakarovJAC spent most of his life on on deviantart insulting, badly criticizing and trolling whichever teenager's artwork displeased him most, instead of trying to improve his own drawing skills.
Bad Webcomics simply provided him with a slightly bigger outlet for posting shitty, biased reviews full of false arguments and fake quotes.

Bad Webcomics finds ALL webcomics "bad".
If an artist does kickstarter to fund production, they will call the artist "greedy".
If an artist has a simple style of drawing- they will call it "bad art".
If they can't find anything bad- they WILL inevitably make up lies based on shitty research/claims by trolls.
Like Westboro Baptist Church they have no real reason behind their deeds other than craving attention.
The more comics they insult, troll and write lies about, the more views they get from angry fans.

Want proof?

Bad Webcomics already got banned from their previous host "Wikidot" for:

Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, harm minors or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.

As you can see by the research presented above:
If you go to Bad Webcomics for facts, you will only find a metaphor for an overflowing toilet.
When their articles are checked for actual consistency or proof, they will hilariously fall apart under the weight of their own nonsense,
or will get poorly "edited" by crossing some things out, while leaving other things in.

It's only a matter of time until their current wiki host removes them for posting defamatory reviews and they will be forced to move to yet again. All it takes is ONE author to actually bother to make a proper complaint to shoutwiki administration by phone.

We won't bother to do it, by the way, because their current review of this comic is so hilariously wrong in its facts going above and beyond to try to stir drama out of nothing that they've dug themselves into a massive hole of shit made of biased opinions, outdated information, lies and wrong conclusions.
